     This week we’ve got a song for adults and teens.  It’s "Pick One!" from my Disciples Of PerFection album.  I got the idea from a discussion with my grown daughter Megan, … who has always impressed me with her clear thinking and balanced way of seeing the world.  See what you think.

Uh-Oh! 3

     Today, we’ll pick up with Chapter Three of my UH-OH! Album. When we closed up with Chapter Two, Fifi the Age Fairy had sent me back to being 3 years old and stranded me at a preschool, where my friend Bill Harley and the other kids were asking me to sing the ABC song, … so here we go with Chapter 3 of UH-OH!

Uh-Oh! 2

     Today we’ve got Chapter Two of my "Uh-Oh!" album for you.  I actually recorded this album because a bunch of my friends asked me to put out an album for pre-schoolers.  I said,
     “Why do I need to do an album for pre-schoolers?  A lot of pre-schools already play the albums I have.  Got an email just yesterday from a pre-school director in Florida who said that my “Pluggin’ Away” album was the kid favorite music!
     “Well, …” I was told, “a lot of that album is over the little kid’s heads, even if they like singing with all the bigger kids who sing with you!  Little kids need shorter songs!  They need to chew songs about things that little kids think about! Things like how their teeth grow inside their mouths, and about animals and the parts of their bodies! ( If you heard Chapter One last week, you heard my songs called ‘My Gums Grow Teeth’ and ‘Rabbit On My Shoulder’”

Uh-Oh! 1

    Here's the first Chapter of my UH-OH! album for kids.  It was Parent’s Choice Approved, and received Gold Awards from National Parenting Publications and Mom’s Choice.  The Seal of Excellence from Creative Child Magazine, and a Kids Music - Best Album Award. 
    I know there are lots of adults who listen to my kid’s albums while driving in traffic, just to keep your inner child from getting bored.  And of course you know that inner children (just like actual children!), love to sing along with my songs, so keep them all happy and sing away!!
 
           
 

When The Women Say No!

            We all know that men can get carried away with our manly activities sometimes.  Right?  I laughed when I first heard this story, because it seemed like a pretty good idea, to give women the authority to tell men “NO!  STOP!  ENOUGH!”  It reminded me of the Iroquois people whose tribal system empowered the women to vote; they would decide which men they wanted in the Great Council.  Women could not run themselves, but they could remove a chief if he didn't properly fulfill his job.  Hmmm?

Grow It At Home 3

     If you’ve heard Chapters One and Two, you know that the kids and I are out back of my house in the garden.  Last week we discussed how to be safe around strangers and sometimes life works out really well, and sometimes, … it doesn’t work out so well.  Point is, we keep trying.  This week in Chapter Three, we’ll pick up the story where we left off after the “No! No! No!” song, … here’s Chapter Three of GROW IT AT HOME.
