     On this week’s SONGS TO CHEW podcast, we’ll play “Handful Of Moonlight”, … especially appropriate in this holiday season, when our world desperately needs to heal divisiveness and encourage much more kindness and love.  I wrote this song for my wife about ten years ago in the middle of a warm summer night.

Disciples Of PerFection

   This week our SONGS TO CHEW podcast covers the title cut from my DISCIPLES OF PERfECTION album.  It’s wonderful when people come up with insightful analyses and extraordinary solutions to solve overwhelming problems, but when people in power, with wealth or in privileged political or military positions, or religious leaders, or captains of industry, … (usually men), when these people believe that theirs is “the perfect system”, they also fear that they might not be able to control people who don’t believe as they do.  This is the way of fascism.

     This week on  my SONGS TO CHEW podcast we have a song for adults from my DISCIPLES OF PERfECTION album called “The Guitar”.  I wrote it for PIE IN THE SKY, a musical we did at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in 1987 about the dangers of nuclear energy, based on the old fable about “The Pied Piper of Hamlin”.
